Nylon dentures differ from acrylic ones primarily in material. Nylon is a flexible, highly biocompatible plastic that contains no residual monomer, making it a comfortable and tissue-friendly alternative.

Unlike acrylic dentures, nylon prostheses are made from a flexible, hypoallergenic plastic that offers excellent biocompatibility, as nylon contains no residual monomer. These dentures are typically retained using clasps, and for stronger fixation, a special adhesive may be recommended.
In cases of complete edentulism, fully flexible nylon dentures are generally not practical. Instead, the prosthesis may be fabricated with reduced flexibility to maintain essential structural and functional characteristics while preserving its hypoallergenic nature.
